Goh: Attractive gifts for members who book Proton X70 and X50 SUV through Huazong

A series of attractive gifts worth RM888 which includes a High Definition (HD) dashcam are in store for members of the Federation of Malaysia Chinese Associations (Huazong) who book the Proton X70 and X50 SUV through the Federation.

According to its President, Tan Sri T.C Goh, this attractive offer which commenced today is provided under the “Love Malaysian Cars” campaign organised by Huazong’s Elite Thin Tank in collaboration with Proton and Globaltec Formation Bhd (Glotec), and it covers the two latest models of Proton SUV X70 and X50.

The booking fee for a brand new Proton X50 is RM500 and RM1,000 for Proton X70.

The said offer is only for members of Huazong and its 13 member associations in the country. Those members who are keen to place an order can always contact Huazong Secretariat at its hotline ‪03-8953 0860‬ or, contact the person in charge of the campaign, Mr Yap at ‪011-5556 8700‬.

Upon placing a booking through Huazong, Proton will then make arrangements for the buyer to collect the car from one of its flagship outlets in the country.

“Those who purchase new cars within this year also get to enjoy exemption of the 10% sales tax. So, be quick to grab this great offer before it expires as, there are only two more months left,” he said in a statement issued today.

Under the said campaign, Glotec which is a public-listed company helmed by Goh will be sponsoring the following attractive gifts:

For Proton X70

The three free gifts worth RM888 include one set of Marbella VR4 HD dashcam; one set of magnetic car sun shade; and one piece of car boot tray.

For Proton X50

The free gift is one set of Marbella TX2 HD 1080p Wifi dashcam worth RM688.

Goh said, during the meeting cum dialogue with the prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Parliament, on 6 July, Huazong had proposed the government to initiate the ‘Buy Malaysian Products’ campaign as a measure to stimulate economic recovery amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We were indeed delighted that the prime minister agreed with and accepted our proposal and subsequently proceeded to launch a nationwide ‘Buy Malaysian Products’ campaign. We hope this campaign could boost domestic demand as well as our domestic production in various economic sectors, and increases our foreign revenues to better stabilize our Ringgit,” he said.

He added that the ‘Love Malaysian Cars’ campaign is in response and in support of the ‘Buy Malaysian Products’ campaign.

Meanwhile, Goh noted that following the successful introduction of Proton X70 SUV by Proton Holdings much earlier, which continues to dominate the SUV market currently, the launching of Proton X50 recently too has received encouraging response with its sale exceeding its 8,000 units target within a short period of two weeks.
